How Klecka Naturals came to be
As professional massage therapists in the early 1990s, Edie and Richard Klecka came to the realization that many of the lubricants they were rubbing into the skin of their clients contained ingredients they couldn’t pronounce. And so started their determined search for completely natural organic products. Edie and Richard began to combine their own oil combinations and discovered the “Peace Blend.” From there, Edie began exploring more scents and blends as she discovered what ingredients worked wonderfully with others.
Demand for Edie and Richard’s new organic massage oils was instant.
Then, in 2003, Edie and Richard gifted their aromatherapy sprays to clients and friends. Each scent was named based on the energy inspired within it. Upon receiving the free gifts, clients began to ask about purchasing more of the products. After packaging some of the aromatherapy sprays and massage oils with simple labels that featured Edie’s child-like drawings, Richard took them to the local coop grocery and cool gift store. The natural products were a hit, and Klecka Naturals was born.
